Job summary

Forum Energy Technologies, Inc. is seeking a seasoned Cost Accountant to support financial reporting, cost and margin analyses, inventory accounting, and month-end close activities at our Houston, TX operations.

You will prepare journal entries, reconcile accounts, and collaborate with operations and sales teams to provide insights that improve processes and internal controls. This role requires 7+ years of cost accounting experience, a Bachelor’s in Accounting or Finance, and ERP system

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent.
7+ years cost accounting experience or a Master's with 5+ years of experience.
Experience with an ERP system.

Responsibilities

Analyze data to determine costs of business activity such as inventory and labor costs.
Monitor physical inventories and cycle count program.
Prepare and post monthly manual journal entries for location P&L and Balance Sheet accounts.
Reconcile finished, work-in-progress, raw goods inventories, and other projects and balance sheet accounts monthly.
Assist in month-end close of General Ledger for cost, manufacturing, and inventory.
Partner with operations on accounting for POC projects and capture forecast in plant forecast.
Support process improvements such as cost accounting, expense analysis, margin analysis.
Support audits and internal analyses as needed.
Perform duties as assigned by the manager.
