C&I Engineering is looking for a talented and driven individual to join our team!

About the opportunity: Senior Cost Estimator/Scheduler

We are currently seeking a full-time (Senior Cost Estimator/Scheduler) to help us achieve our company mission. This person will be part of the Project Controls team, which is responsible for determining the cost and value of the projects C&I takes on. C&I is an employee-owned, full-service engineering design firm providing engineering/design/project management, and procurement services to various clients in oil & gas, food & beverage, and distilled spirits.

Responsibilities include:

• The Senior Cost Estimator/Scheduler will lead and develop cost estimates, schedules, and progress reports for industrial clients in refining, chemical, distilled spirits, and various other industries.
• Identify, document, estimate, and communicate schedule and cost changes and trends for clients and project teams.
• Use effective communication systems to translate cost and schedule information into cost reports and cash flows.
• Participate in educational courses and industry organizations to stay current with changes that affect job knowledge.
• Develop and present training materials on project control topics to other team members.
• Develop master schedules, customized reports, trend analysis data, and other presentations to enhance client projects.
• Develop and maintain working relationships with project team members while employing routine and non-routine problem-solving techniques and project control standards.

Minimum requirements:

• Associate’s degree in a business-related field, accounting, business, engineering, construction, etc.
• At least eight years of relevant experience.
• Knowledge of computer programs such as Icarus, Primavera, and Microsoft Project.
• Must be proficient in Microsoft software such as Word and Excel.

Other Preferred Competencies:

• Proficient in providing strong customer service to clients and project teams.
• Experienced in construction estimating or management.
• Must be able to communicate service to clients and project teams is essential.
• Must be able to communicate project information to the necessary parties.
• Collaborate with others to identify schedules, activities, logic, duration, and sequences.
