Job summary

PMXperts Inc. seeks a Piping Estimator to provide detailed estimates for HVAC, mechanical, and piping/construction projects. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in construction estimation, strong analytical and communication skills, and proficiency with estimation software tools. This remote 1099 contract position offers flexibility and an opportunity to impact project excellence.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 8 years of experience in HVAC Estimator or similar role.
• Proven HVAC, mechanical, and/or piping/plumbing construction experience required.
• Proficiency in estimation software is essential.

Responsibilities

Position is 1099 contract, work is “as needed”
Must be US Citizen

Requirements:

• A minimum of 8 years of experience as a HVAC Estimator, Commercial Construction Estimator, or a similar role in the construction industry.
• Proven experience in HVAC, mechanical, and/or piping/plumbing construction is required.
• Proficiency in using estimation software such as Onscreen Take-Off, Trimble Business Center, or equivalent.
• Excellent understanding of orthographic drawings and the ability to interpret complex construction plans and specifications.
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills to calculate quantities and costs accurately.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex information clearly and concisely.
• A proactive problem-solver with the ability to identify and mitigate potential risks.
• A team player with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.
• A degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed estimates for HVAC, mechanical, and piping/plumbing construction projects.
• Analyze orthographic drawings and specifications to determine the scope of work and required contents of the estimate.
• Use advanced software tools to calculate quantities and cost estimates.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to gather all necessary data for accurate estimation.
• Review and evaluate cost estimates to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Present estimates and conduct cost comparison analysis to senior management and clients.
• Monitor and track project costs, identifying any potential risks or opportunities for cost savings.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends, techniques, and materials to ensure our estimates are competitive and realistic.
