Job summary

HDR is seeking a Senior Cost Estimator in San Antonio, TX to lead multidisciplinary cost estimating for capital projects. You will develop WBS, unit rates, and crew models, while coordinating with schedule and design teams to deliver accurate estimates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or Construction Science Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 10 years of related construction estimating experience.
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills.
• Ability to lead small project estimates.
• Strong verbal and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Perform general or discipline cost estimating for capital costs and services.
• Develop Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) based on project requirements and scope; coordinate with schedule breakdown.
• Develop unit rates and crew models; analyze local market labor rates.
• Identify, solicit, and obtain vendor quotes for major cost drivers with data provenance.
• Prepare basis of estimate notes and construction methodology documentation.
• Support risk analysis, contingencies, and cost/schedule integration; participate in reviews.
