Jois Construction Management, Inc., headquartered in Mercerville, New Jersey with an office in New York, is a professional Construction Management Company with over 38 years of experience. We are seeking a Senior Construction Cost Estimator.

General Responsibilities:

• Develop conceptual through detailed cost estimates, including change orders.
• Review cost estimates for quality and completeness before submission.
• Support the development and maintenance of the cost estimating database.
• Summarize scope cost data for cost estimates, including major scope items.
• Ensure proper storage and retrievability of all project data.
• Train junior staff in cost estimating.
• Perform other related duties as necessary or assigned.

Requirements:

Skills

• 8+ years of relevant experience in engineering or construction.
• Ability to develop cost estimates for all project phases, including design and construction at various stages.
• Proficiency in quantity takeoff, pricing, developing labor/equipment requirements, and estimating productivity rates.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience working in Transit projects.

Education

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.

Tools and Technology

• Proficiency with software such as HeavyBid (HCSS), On-Screen Takeoff (OST), RSMeans, and Microsoft Office.
• Competency with PC operating systems and basic software applications.
