Job summary

NAVFAC Pacific seeks an experienced Cost Engineer to deliver independent cost estimates for MILCON and facility renovations for the Navy, Marine Corps, and supported commands. You will develop preliminary, budget, and detailed estimates and advise on cost control and design options.

Required: Bachelor's in Engineering, US citizenship, ability to obtain SECRET clearance, valid driver's license; highly desirable PE license and 4–10 years' cost-estimating experience; salary range $103,937–$139,817,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
• Valid Driver’s License
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a SECRET Clearance
• A US Citizen aged 18 or older at time of hire
• Males registered or exempt from Selective Service
• Determined suitable for federal employment (background check and fingerprinting)

Responsibilities

• Develop preliminary, budget, and detailed cost estimates for military construction and renovation projects.
• Act as the lead estimator in design workshops and advise on cost control and constructability.
• Analyze designs, drawings, and specs to project costs and evaluate contractor proposals.
• Review complex estimates from A/E firms for contractual compliance and QC in-house designs.
• Research construction trends and update cost data for labor, materials, and equipment.
