Job summary

Lucid Motors is seeking aSr. Engineer, Cost Engineering to lead detailed cost estimates across our product portfolio.

You will partner with engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to analyze BoMs, perform teardowns, and drive cost reduction initiatives that support target costs and profitability. You will leverage CAD data, engineering drawings, and cost-modeling tools to deliver accurate estimates and insights.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5+ Years Experience in cost estimation, modeling, procurement, or engineering disciplines
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Manufacturing/Industrial/Electrical Engineering, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or Finance
• Equivalent experience in cost estimation, procurement and tool and die manufacturing including technical certifications, apprenticeship completion, or extensive automotive industry experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop Detailed Cost Estimates using BoM, CAD models, and costing systems with inclusive direct, indirect, and tooling costs
• Teardown and Analysis to build BoMs and cost models for components and assemblies
• Value Analysis and Engineering to identify cost-saving opportunities in designs and processes
• Partner with Global Supply Managers to evaluate supplier pricing and cost structures and drive cost reduction
• Collaborate with engineering teams to align cost estimates with budget objectives and target costs
