Job summary

Lucid Motors seeks a Mass Engineer II in Vehicle Efficiency Engineering to lead mass strategy across vehicle programs, balancing mass, cost, and performance. You will develop data-driven tools and AI-enabled workflows to improve engineering efficiency and mass visibility across Lucid's product portfolio.

You will integrate data from CAD, PLM, BOM, MES, CAE to drive actionable insights and recommendations for weight reduction and optimal mass allocation.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Mass Engineering, Vehicle Integration, Product Integration, Robotics, or related multidisciplinary Engineering
• Strong understanding of vehicle architectures and trade-offs across mass, cost, performance, efficiency, manufacturability, quality, and customer value
• Experience with design and release processes including DVP&R development, prototype support, manufacturing validation, and production launch
• Proficiency with CAD tools (CATIA preferred), PLM systems, and engineering release processes
• Strong analytical capabilities with benchmarking, forecasting, statistical analysis, and engineering decision support
• Experience developing engineering tools and automation using Python, SQL, VBA, Power BI, Tableau, or similar
• Familiarity with AI-enabled tools, digital engineering workflows, and data-driven product development methodologies
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills and ability to lead projects with minimal supervision
• Passion for electric vehicles, lightweighting, vehicle efficiency, and next-gen mobility technologies

Responsibilities

• Lead mass strategy activities including target setting, forecasting, benchmarking, and optimization across vehicle programs
• Develop and deploy data-driven tools, dashboards, analytics, automation, and AI-enabled workflows to improve engineering efficiency
• Integrate and analyze data from CAD, PLM, BOM, MES, CAE to generate insights and recommendations
• Lead component- and vehicle-level mass correlation activities in prototype and manufacturing environments
• Partner with Vehicle Integration, Validation, and Test teams to define weight conditions and mass assumptions for testing
• Influence cross-functional teams with data-driven communication and continuous improvement mindset
