Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Senior Cost Analyst for a fully remote, long-term contract with a nationwide client in the utility sector. You will oversee cost controls, forecasting, and reporting for multiple high-value projects, including EPC coordination and change orders.

The role requires deep SAP knowledge (PR/PO and GL reporting), advanced Excel skills, and the ability to communicate clearly with project managers, buyers, and vendors across all organization levels.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in a Project Cost Analyst role
• Strong background in oil & gas, renewables or large-scale utility projects
• Experience managing costs and forecasts for projects $100M+; familiarity with portfolios up to $11B
• Proficient in SAP (PR/PO and general ledger reporting), advanced Excel/spreadsheet skills, and data analysis
• Reporting: produce accurate, timely forecasts and explain variances; ad hoc reporting
• Understanding of EPC contract structures and change order processes
• Excellent communication skills and ability to communicate at all levels within the organization

Responsibilities

• Manage cost controls and forecasting for 2–3 large projects (typically $100M–$3B+)
• Prepare and deliver ad hoc and scheduled reports, including variance analysis and explanations
• Support EPC contract management and change order processes
• Collaborate with project managers, buyers, and vendors to ensure accurate PO and PR processing
• Maintain a strong understanding of SAP processes, especially for PR/PO creation and general ledger reporting
