Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking a Project Cost Controls Analyst to deliver data-driven financial analysis across solar, storage, and substation projects. The role is fully remote with periodic site travel up to 25%, discussing location specifics during interview.

You will build forecasts, develop internal controls, and synthesize complex data into clear narratives for senior leadership. Responsibilities include cost modeling, budgeting, and executive-level reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant analytical field.
• 1–3 years of experience in project controls, FP&A, or data-driven roles.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; Power BI, Python, and SQL highly preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a structured approach to modeling.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain project-level cost forecasts with cross-functional teams.
• Lead the monthly reporting process and monitor cost drivers; identify risks and opportunities.
• Develop internal controls over financial reporting to ensure Sarbanes‑Oxley compliance.
• Implement analytics models to forecast future project cost based on historical data.
• Assist with budget mapping, ensuring fiscal responsibility and accuracy.
• Analyze project performance trends and identify drivers of variance across cost, schedule, and resources.
• Create executive-ready decks highlighting trends, performance metrics and recommendations.
• Contribute to field improvements by visiting sites to understand challenges and solutions.
