Qualifications

• 7 years cost accounting experience in a standard cost manufacturing environment.
• Experience in an advanced MRP II environment.
• Proficient in Windows-based PC software packages including Excel and Word.
• Strong interpersonal and analytical skills with proven problem-solving.
• Good communication skills, verbal and written.
• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and work independently.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the cost accounting team.
• Ensure accuracy and integrity of inventory cost data.
• Maintain standard material costs and rates; review and update as needed.
• Monitor obsolete/excess inventory and calculate reserves.
• Review labor and overhead rates for proper product pricing.
• Prepare month-end cost accounting journal entries and reconcile inventories.
• Assist in budget and forecasting for cost of goods and manufacturing expenses.
• Prepare quarterly and year-end audit documentation.
