Northwood Space, a modern space infrastructure company in Torrance, California, is hiring its first Cost Accountant to build and own the cost accounting function as we scale our space hardware products from development into production.

You will establish processes, methodologies, and controls for inventory, COGS, and product costs, collaborating with Finance, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Engineering, and Programs to enable accurate visibility and strategic financial insight.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 4+ years of cost, inventory, or manufacturing accounting.
• Ability to own cost close processes and journal entries.
• Strong Excel and data analysis skills.

Responsabilités

• Build and own cost accounting function with scalable processes.
• Own month-end and quarter-end close including reconciliations.
• Develop standard costing and analyze variances.
• Collaborate with Supply Chain and Manufacturing to align costs with BOMs.
• Improve ERP controls and reporting infrastructure.
