Job summary

Cost Accountant role in West Warwick, RI, on-site with Jobot, focusing on analyzing manufacturing costs, preparing cost reports and supporting month-end close. You will maintain cost accounting systems, coordinate with IT for system issues, and provide management with profitability reports.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in cost accounting within manufacturing, ERP experience (SAP/Oracle), advanced Excel skills, and CPA is preferred; must be able to work independently in a fast-paced

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
• CPA certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Analyzing manufacturing costs and preparing regular cost reports.
• Creating and reviewing controls for data accumulation and reporting systems.
• Conducting physical counts of inventory and reconciling floor counts and inventory records.
• Estimating costs for new and proposed products.
• Assisting in Month end close of the General Ledger.
• Auditing costs and preparing reports.
• Implementing a comprehensive cycle counting program to ensure inventory accuracy.
• Providing management with reports specifying and comparing factors affecting prices and profitability of products or services.
• Maintaining Cost Accounting System.
• Coordinating with IT for system issues, maintenance and development.
