Rosendin is seeking a Senior Cost Accountant to independently manage and analyze project costs, driving profitability and strategic decisions for nationwide electrical construction projects. You will lead cost reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and COGS/inventory valuation with a focus on GAAP compliance and process improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 5–7 years progressive accounting experience; 3+ years cost accounting in construction.
• Experience with job costing, variance analysis, and project reporting.
• CPA or CMA certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain project cost reports for labor, materials, and overhead.
• Conduct variance analysis against budgets and forecasts.
• Collaborate with project managers to identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Lead preparation of job cost analyses and profitability reports.
• Maintain internal controls per GAAP.
• Support annual budgeting and periodic forecasting.
• Assist in financial statements with COGS and inventory valuation.
• Improve cost accounting systems for efficiency.
• Mentor junior accounting staff on cost accounting.
