Job summary

Rosendin in Coppell, TX seeks a Senior Cost Accountant to independently manage and analyze project and operational costs. You will provide critical financial insights that drive profitability and strategic decisions across Rosendin, an employee-owned leader in electrical contracting.

You will lead cost reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cost control across nationwide projects, collaborating with project managers and procurement. CPA/CMA preferred; CPA preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in accounting/finance.
• 5–7 years of progressive accounting, with 3+ years in cost accounting in construction.
• Experience with job costing, variance analysis, and financial reporting.
• CPA or CMA certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain cost accounting systems and reports for project costs, labor, materials and overhead.
• Perform variance analysis against budgets/forecasts and provide actionable insights.
• Collaborate with project managers, procurement, and operations to track costs.
• Lead preparation of cost reports, profitability analysis, and inventory valuations.
• Establish internal controls to ensure GAAP compliance.
• Support budgeting and forecasting with robust cost data.
• Assist with COGS and inventory valuation in financial statements.
• Drive continuous improvement of cost accounting processes and mentor junior staff.
