Job summary

N4 Solutions, LLC seeks a senior Corrosion Engineer to lead R&D activities focused on corrosion prevention and control for Navy maritime assets. You will manage test plans, instrument, model, and evaluate corrosion systems from lab to fleet delivery.

Responsibilities include designing cathodic protection experiments, evaluating materials, and coordinating with Navy sponsors. A SECRET clearance and extensive Navy program experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Master of Science or Doctor of Philosophy in Engineering, Physical Science, or equivalent from an accredited university.
• Minimum of 8 years in a research environment with corrosion science/engineering.
• Experience as a senior R&D technical lead for complex programs.
• Strong credentials in Navy environments and managing Navy/DoD-sponsored programs.
• Advanced knowledge of corrosion science, electrochemistry, cathodic protection, monitoring, and degradation.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior R&D management and technical leadership for corrosion programs supporting Navy ships and marine structures.
• Plan and oversee studies to assess corrosion, materials degradation in various Navy-relevant environments.
• Lead design and testing of cathodic protection systems (ICCP, sacrificial anodes, references, controls).
• Develop/test Physical Scale Modeling of corrosion-control systems; ensure objectives and data acceptance criteria.
• Oversee test execution, data collection, analysis, and reporting; ensure data integrity and OQE.
