Job summary

A&O Shearman, a leading global law firm, seeks senior-level associates for its corporate M&A practice in the US. The role focuses on representing clients in complex deals, leading transaction work, and coordinating teams across matters.

The ideal candidate has strong M&A experience, excellent drafting and negotiation skills, and the ability to manage multiple transactions under tight deadlines. A JD and NY bar admission are required.

Qualifications

• JD degree from an accredited law school
• Admitted to the New York bar in good standing
• Previous corporate M&A experience, firm or in-house

Responsibilities

• Represent clients in corporate transactions, including mergers & acquisitions and venture capital financings.
• Draft, review and negotiate primary and ancillary transaction documents.
• Assist in managing due diligence and all signing/closing logistics.
• Communicate with appropriate audiences on open issues and transaction documents.
