LHH is recruiting for a Corporate M&A Associate (mid-level to senior) at a premier Am Law firm in New York, partnering with a sophisticated M&A team on complex transactions. The role covers mergers & acquisitions, private equity investments, and strategic corporate matters, with direct client contact and mentorship within a collaborative practice.

Candidates will have a JD from an accredited school, NY admission, and experience in large firms; compensation includes a competitive base plus

• Previous large law firm experience required
• Demonstrated experience with M&A transactions and/or private equity transactions
• Candidates with a combination of M&A and general corporate/transactional experience are encouraged to apply
• Active admission, or eligibility to waive into, the New York
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Interest in working with emerging growth companies and investment funds

Responsibilities

• Representing buyers, sellers, investors, and private equity sponsors in M&A transactions
• Assisting with transaction structuring, due diligence, drafting, and negotiations
• Supporting emerging growth companies and investment funds on a variety of corporate matters
• Collaborating with attorneys across the firm's corporate platform to provide practical business advice
• Drafting and negotiating transaction documents and related corporate agreements
• Managing client relationships and contributing to transaction execution from inception through closing

LHH is assisting a highly regarded national law firm in its search for a Corporate M&A Associate to join its growing Corporate practice. This opportunity is available in the firm's New York office and offers the chance to work alongside a sophisticated M&A team advising emerging growth companies, private equity sponsors, and investment funds. The firm maintains a collaborative, team-oriented environment where attorneys work closely with both the M&A and broader corporate groups on complex transactions.

The Role

This associate will play a key role in advising clients through mergers and acquisitions, private equity investments, strategic transactions, and general corporate matters. Attorneys in this practice work directly with partners and clients on high-profile transactions while developing meaningful business relationships and industry expertise.

Responsibilities include:

• Representing buyers, sellers, investors, and private equity sponsors in M&A transactions
• Assisting with transaction structuring, due diligence, drafting, and negotiations
• Supporting emerging growth companies and investment funds on a variety of corporate matters
• Collaborating with attorneys across the firm's corporate platform to provide practical business advice
