Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant experience in corporate development, private equity, investment banking, strategic acquisitions, or a closely related environment.
• Demonstrated success sourcing, qualifying, and advancing acquisition opportunities.
• Experience engaging credibly with founders, owners, and senior executives.
• Experience with vertical‑market software or ability to understand specialized software businesses and markets.
• A clear point of view on applying AI responsibly to research, sourcing, prioritization, and workflow improvement.
• Intellectual curiosity, initiative, sound judgment, clear communication, and energy to pursue opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Build the Investment Pipeline by identifying vertical‑market software businesses aligned with investment goals and prioritizing opportunities.
• Develop trusted relationships with founders, owners, and senior executives and position Harris as a long‑term home for their companies.
• Advance investments by moving opportunities through evaluation, offers, and closing with the M&A execution team.
• Raise team capability by collaborating on research, outreach, calls, meetings, and evaluation; provide feedback and lead by example.
• Improve how we work by using AI tools for market mapping, target research, prospecting, prioritization, and CRM discipline.
