We seek a smart, energetic attorney to thrive as a generalist in a small legal department, with emphasis on intellectual property, brand protection, licensing and marketing matters that touch our brands. This permanent remote role requires residence within a 4-hour drive to Atlanta HQ and travel about 10%.

Qualifications

• J.D. from a top law school and strong academic credentials.
• 5+ years of legal experience (law firm required; in-house a plus).
• Experience in one or more of: general commercial contracts, privacy, ecommerce/digital marketing, retail/consumer law, IP (trademarks/copyright/licensing), real estate/leasing, litigation, M&A.

Responsibilities

• Manage the Company’s trademark and copyright portfolios across all brands, including clearance reviews and filings.
• Protect and enforce brand IP, including infringement and counterfeiting matters, takedowns and cease-and-desist.</n>
• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts including IP licensing and brand collaborations, and technology agreements.
• Support marketing compliance by reviewing collateral and negotiating with promotional partners and influencers.
• Assist with pending and open litigation matters with outside counsel as needed.
• Provide broad legal advice across the organization and stay aligned with business needs.
