Job summary

Jobot is seeking an experienced Associate Corporate Counsel to join our in-house legal team in Plano, TX. You will provide practical guidance on commercial contracting and risk management, partnering with project leaders and business teams across a growing national professional services organization.

This role emphasizes drafting and negotiating commercial agreements, risk mitigation, and collaboration with outside counsel to support complex contracts and disputes.

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school.
• Active bar license in good standing.
• 7–10 years of corporate or in-house experience.
• Strong background in commercial contracting and negotiation.
• Experience managing contracts lifecycle and disputes.
• Experience with professional services, engineering, construction sectors preferred.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, negotiate, and manage a high volume of commercial agreements.
• Advise internal teams on commercial, operational, compliance, and risk issues.
• Manage contractual disputes, claims, subpoenas, and litigation matters.
• Direct outside counsel and monitor strategy and spend.
• Develop and improve contract templates, playbooks, and processes.
• Promote consistent risk-management practices across the organization.
• Collaborate with project teams across multi-party contracts.
