Job summary

ABB is seeking an experienced in-house lawyer to provide strategic legal advice and manage risks across international commercial and regulatory matters. You will support EPC contracts from tender to closure, collaborate with commercial, sales, finance, HR, EHS, and supply chain teams, and handle data privacy, competition, and IP matters in a global context.

Candidates must have a US JD, active bar admission, 10+ PQE, and experience with cross-country regulatory issues.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctorate from a US law school with active bar admission.
• 10+ years PQE with exposure to international legal, commercial and regulatory matters.
• Experience in contract law and negotiation including EPC/project contracts, distribution agreements, government contracting, IP, and digital law.

Responsibilities

• Provide end-to-end legal support for project activities, including EPC contracts from tender through negotiation, execution, dispute resolution, and closure.
• Advise internal stakeholders (commercial, sales, finance, HR, EHS, supply chain) to ensure compliance and protect company interests.
• Manage legal risk across areas such as competition law, data privacy (GDPR), product liability, employment, investigations, and litigation support with global teams.
• Contribute to integrity initiatives and broader legal projects, supporting investigations and policy adherence.
