Armstrong Transport Group in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Corporate Counsel to serve as a trusted legal advisor to the business, drafting, negotiating, and managing a broad portfolio of commercial contracts with our agent network, carriers, and vendors. The ideal candidate holds a JD, active license, three years of relevant experience, and strong business acumen.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school with active license (NC bar preferred).
• Minimum three years in contract drafting and negotiation.
• Experience in logistics, transportation, supply chain, or employment law preferred.
• Excellent written and oral communication for non-legal stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently with strong business judgment.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate a broad portfolio of commercial contracts (agent, carrier, vendor, NDAs).
• Provide risk assessment and strategic legal advice to leaders.
• Lead contract negotiations with agents, carriers, and vendors.
• Develop templates, playbooks, and negotiation guidelines.
• Support the General Counsel and cross-functional teams as needed.
• Oversee contract lifecycle and recordkeeping in the CMS.
