AccruePartners in Charlotte, NC seeks a Corporate Counsel to partner with the General Counsel and advise across the business on commercial contracts, litigation management, employment matters, and general corporate needs.

You will own contract strategy, develop playbooks and templates, mentor paralegals, and collaborate with Sales, Operations, and Finance to balance risk with pragmatic business objectives. A lean, business-focused team environment is offered.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.
• Active license to practice law and in good standing.
• North Carolina Bar admission preferred, or eligibility via reciprocity/comity.
• 3+ years of relevant legal experience with commercial contract drafting and negotiation.

Responsabilités

• Independently draft, review, negotiate, and manage a wide variety of commercial agreements.
• Lead negotiations involving agent, carrier, vendor, settlement agreements, NDAs, amendments, and related contracts.
• Assess contractual and business risk and clearly communicate exposure and mitigation strategies to stakeholders.
• Serve as primary legal contact for external agents, carriers, vendors, and other business partners during negotiations.
• Partner with the General Counsel on contract strategy, policy, and broader business matters.
• Collaborate with Sales, Operations, Finance, and other functions to structure commercially practical agreements.
• Develop and maintain contract templates, negotiation guidelines, and playbooks for consistency and scalability.
• Improve processes around contract intake, drafting, approval, execution, and recordkeeping.
• Provide oversight and mentorship to paralegal or contract staff.
• Support litigation management, employment matters, transactional work, and other needs across the legal department.
