Job summary

Austin Industries seeks a Corporate Counsel at its Austin Industrial headquarters in La Porte, Texas. You will provide legal support to senior management, operations, and risk management across multiple units, including potential support for Houston-area operations.

The role requires a JD with at least five years of substantial practical experience, strong academic credentials, and Texas bar admission. Expect engagement with senior leadership and occasional travel.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts including prime contracts, purchase orders, subcontracts, project agreements and other documents.
• Manage claims and litigation by advising management, directing outside counsel, and supporting insurance carriers.
• Conduct legal due diligence and legal research for transactions and disputes.
• Collaborate with senior management to identify and address legal and business issues.
• Provide training on relevant topics for project teams and report on legal matters to senior leadership.
