Job summary

The Judge Group is seeking an Associate Corporate Controller for a growing manufacturer in the New Orleans, LA area. This senior finance leadership role oversees corporate accounting, financial reporting, accounts payable, and audit processes, while driving process improvements and supporting future growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related discipline.
• At least 7 years of experience in corporate accounting or financial leadership roles.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and internal controls.
• Experience leading accounting teams and managing financial close processes.
• Background in audit coordination and compliance is preferred.
• Familiarity with process improvement and finance transformation initiatives.
• Experience with accounts payable, credit control, and accounts receivable is a plus.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• This position guides the corporate accounting function, manages financial reporting and audit activities, oversees accounts payable, and champions process optimization throughout the finance department.
• Provide leadership and direction to the corporate accounting staff, encouraging a culture of responsibility, skill development, and ongoing improvement.
• Oversee all aspects of corporate accounting operations, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently and on schedule.
• Drive consistency and standardization in accounting workflows.
• Serve as the escalation resource for complex accounting challenges.
• Manage and refine the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close cycles.
• Authorize and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting documentation.
• Track and supervise intercompany, lease, hedge, and debt accounting processes.
