Job summary

AM General LLC is seeking an accomplished senior finance leader to direct the company’s accounting and financial reporting operations. You will ensure GAAP compliance, strong internal controls, and timely close processes for defense contracts.

Ideal candidates have 15+ years in accounting/finance, CPA preferred, and proven ability to lead teams and coordinate with external auditors and executives. This is a full-time on-site role in South Bend, Indiana.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting or finance.
• CPA certification preferred.
• Defense industry experience required.
• 15+ years in accounting/finance.
• 10+ years managerial experience in accounting.
• Strong integrity and ethical standards.
• Experience with GAAP and financial reporting.
• Ability to liaise with auditors and executives.

Responsibilities

• Direct and oversee corporate accounting and financial reporting.
• Ensure monthly, quarterly, and annual close accuracy and timeliness.
• Oversee consolidated financial statements per US GAAP.
• Maintain internal controls and accounting policies.
• Coordinate with external auditors and defense regulators.
• Support cost accounting for government contracts.
• Monitor cost performance and contract profitability.
• Lead ERP improvements and process improvements.
