Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
• Seven or more years of progressive accounting experience.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience managing or supervising an accounting or finance team.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP.
• Experience with financial reporting and internal controls.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Excellent analytical and critical thinking abilities.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Must possess a valid driver's license.
• Must successfully pass a background and credit check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable and receivable, payroll accounting, fixed assets, and cash management.
• Manage month-end and year-end closing processes, financial reporting, account reconciliations, and GAAP compliance.
• Maintain accurate financial records and accounting systems for efficiency and accuracy.
• Coordinate annual financial audits and tax preparation with external partners.
• Ensure financial compliance with FAR, CAS, SCA, and other government contracting requirements.
• Oversee contract accounting activities, including funding, billing, indirect rates, cost allocations, and reporting.
• Support DCAA audits and incurred cost submissions.
• Partner with VP Finance on budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis.
• Develop and maintain internal controls, accounting policies, and procedures.
