Job summary

ŌURA is seeking a Senior Accounting Manager in the United States to lead the day-to-day close of the corporate general ledger, steward month-end close operations, drive journal entries governance, and ensure accuracy, timeliness, and SOX compliance across the organization. You will partner with FP&A, Tax, and IT to maintain robust controls and scalable processes.

You will own the balance sheet reconciliations, fixed asset reporting, and build narratives for management.

Responsibilities

• Own the day-to-day close execution for US corporate GL
• Manage close calendar, step dependencies, and daily sequencing across GL workstreams
• Identify, assess, and document close-related risks and control gaps
• Coordinate downstream data synchronization with system owners
• Review leases, debt, and equity journal entries for ASC 842 and capital structure
• Perform first-pass SOX control reviews and ensure documentation standards
• Lead balance sheet reconciliations, fixed assets, and variance analyses
• Partner with Assistant Controller to translate trends into executive narratives
• Collaborate with close-management tools (e.g., FloQast) to optimize close processes
• Mentor and develop a high-performing corporate accounting team
• Support external audit requests and SOX readiness initiatives
