Job summary

HF Sinclair Corporation in Utah is seeking a Senior Accountant to handle complex accounting assignments with minimal supervision and to serve as a resource for less experienced staff.

You will maintain the general ledger, perform reconciliations, analyze financial data, oversee day-to-day operations, supervise special projects, and prepare reports. A Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance and at least five years of experience are required; CPA designation is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance or related field.
• Minimum five years of job-related accounting experience.
• CPA designation preferred.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft products and accounting software.

Responsibilities

• Maintains General Ledger Accounts and reconciliations.
• Performs intercompany billings and various reconciliations as needed.
• Analyzes and manipulates financial data and records at a high level.
• Monitors timely completion of routine to complex staff accounting duties.
• Oversees day-to-day accounting operations.
• Completes and may supervise special projects.
• Performs inventory valuations.
• Provides training and guidance to less experienced staff.
• Performs various assigned financial calculations.
• May create, coordinate, and maintain assigned schedules.
• Prepares and monitors various reports and resolves discrepancies.
• May review contracts, invoices and other financial data for accuracy.
• Records/amortizes swaps, hedging and debt instruments.
