Job summary

HF Sinclair Corporation in Utah is seeking an experienced Accountant to perform complex accounting assignments for the Accounting department with minimal supervision. This role will serve as a resource and lead for less experienced staff, ensuring accuracy across the General Ledger, reconciliations, and routine financial reporting.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance and at least five years of relevant experience; CPA designation is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must perform complex accounting analysis and mathematical calculations.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft products.
• Experience with accounting software and maintenance systems.
• Broad understanding of accounting practices and procedures.
• Advanced reading and writing skills with effective communication.

Responsibilities

• Maintains General Ledger Accounts and account reconciliations.
• Oversees day-to-day accounting operations.
• Prepares and monitors various reports and resolves discrepancies.
• Reviews contracts, invoices and other financial data for accuracy.
• Performs inventory valuations and financial calculations.
• Possibly creates and maintains assigned schedules.
