Job summary

Coda Search is assisting a global private equity firm in recruiting a Senior Accountant for its New York, NY corporate accounting team. You will oversee day-to-day accounting for the management company and related entities while supporting a major finance platform rollout (NetSuite, StaffPay, Concur).

Key responsibilities include close ownership, reconciliations, GL oversight, and preparing management reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 4+ years in financial services, PE or asset management preferred.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP, GL, reconciliations and month-end close.
• Advanced Excel skills required.
• CPA preferred.
• Experience with NetSuite, StaffPay, and Concur preferred.
• Experience with management company accounting preferred.
• System implementation experience a plus.
• Big 4 or large public accounting an asset.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close with journal entries and asset schedules.
• Complete and review balance sheet reconciliations and investigate variances.
• Monitor GL activity and post correcting entries as needed.
• Prepare departmental and monthly/quarterly management reporting.
• Oversee fund chargebacks and shared-cost allocations with administrators.
• Support calculation, billing, and recording of management fees.
• Analyze budget-to-actuals and assist budgeting/forecasting.
• Maintain GP commitment tracking and reconciliations with fund statements.
• Record daily cash activity and streamline payables with new systems rollout.
• Support implementation of NetSuite, StaffPay, and Concur; be system super user.
• Use AI/automation to improve efficiency and reporting.
• Coordinate annual management company audit and internal controls.
• Support Controller and CFO on special projects and ad hoc requests.
