Job summary

Coda Search is partnering with a rapidly expanding consumer goods company headquartered in Brooklyn, NY. We are seeking a Senior Accountant who will own the monthly close and help design processes that scale with the business.

The role requires strong Excel skills and experience with NetSuite, along with the ability to communicate clearly with internal teams and external auditors. This is a fast-moving, growth-oriented position based in Brooklyn.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Minimum of three years of accounting experience.
• Proficiency in advanced Excel functions (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, etc.).
• Experience with NetSuite is highly desirable.
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead the monthly close, including reconciliations of balance sheet and income statement accounts.
• Handle accounting for several entities, recording and reconciling intercompany activity.
• Maintain the fixed asset register and administer depreciation schedules.
• Use Excel to examine expenses and flag significant variances.
• Evaluate vendor invoices and address any vendor-related concerns.
• Oversee general ledger reconciliations and record journal entries.
• Assist with the year-end audit by compiling schedules and acting as the main point of contact for external auditors.
