Avon Health and Rehabilitation is seeking a full-time Cook to prepare and serve meals to residents in a safe, sanitary kitchen. You will follow standardized recipes, maintain temperatures, and supervise Dietary Aides while ensuring timely meal service and clean dining areas.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write, speak and understand the English language.
• Have an understanding of dietary procedures and practices.
• Must be able to read recipes and menus.
• Have organized, neat work habits.
• Have a genuine interest in geriatric work and a willingness to work for the residents and facility.

Responsibilities

• Preparing quality food products according to standardized recipes and menus.
• Directing and supervising Dietary Aides as appropriate.
• Maintaining and recording assigned temperatures daily.
• Following temperature regulations in preparing, serving and storing foods.
• Maintaining a clean, sanitary work environment and equipment.
