Apple Rehab Cromwell is seeking a Cook Supervisor for a per diem role in the dietary department. You will supervise staff, prepare meals to residents' dietary orders, and assist with planning, purchasing, and stock control while ensuring quality within budget constraints.

Must hold a Serv Safe Manager certification and be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Prior hospital or long-term care experience is preferred; strong teamwork and calm under pressure are essential.

Qualifications

• Must hold Serv Safe Manager certification.
• Able to unload and stock groceries and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to read, write English and perform basic math.
• Detail-oriented with ability to prioritize tasks.
• Experience supervising and instructing others.
• Previous hospital or long-term care experience preferred.
• Team player with cooperative attitude and calm under pressure.
• Professional communication with residents, staff, and families.

Responsibilities

• Supervises dietary department staff and ensures policy compliance.
• Prepares and serves meals per residents' diet orders.
• Assists with menu planning, forecasting needs, and recipe development.
• Helps with purchase and stock control within budget guidelines.
• Maintains quality, aesthetically pleasing meals within budgets.
