Job summary

The Condado Collection is hiring a Cook to join our hospitality team in San Juan, Puerto Rico. You will set up stations, prepare menu items according to recipes, and ensure quality and consistency across all dishes for our diverse properties.

Ideal candidates have restaurant or hotel kitchen experience, strong teamwork, and the stamina to work flexible shifts, including evenings and weekends. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus in our guest-focused operation.

Qualifications

• Hospitality oriented with experience in a kitchen environment.
• Prior cook experience in a restaurant or hotel preferred.
• Must be able to bend, stand for long periods and lift up to 60 pounds.
• Able to handle difficult situations effectively.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Fluent in English and Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Set up station properly and on time for each service period.
• Prepare food and recipes designated by the supervisor.
• Maintain food quality and quantity.
• Cook food and prepare top-quality menu items in a timely manner.
• Clean preparation areas after service to ensure safety and sanitation.
• Rotate stock and ensure freshness of ingredients.
• Regulate temperatures to store and cook food correctly.
• Measure and season ingredients as required.
• Support the kitchen team to meet goals.
• Follow safety and security policies; report issues to the manager.
• Contribute to a positive team environment and professional appearance.
• Adhere to quality standards and procedures.
