Job summary

Sodexo in Jersey City is seeking a Senior Cook to join our on-site dining team at DTCC. You’ll prepare and plate a variety of hot and cold dishes with a focus on quality, consistency, and friendly service.

We value team players who are adaptable and reliable; with 4+ years of related experience, you’ll help train staff, follow recipes, and support a safe, efficient kitchen. The role offers full-time hours, weekday shifts, and competitive hourly pay.

Qualifications

• Team-oriented, adaptable, reliable, and fosters a healthy/safe working environment.
• 4+ years of related cooking/food service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, portion, cook, and present a variety of hot and/or cold food items for Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, and Special/Catered Events.
• Follow complex recipes and/or product directions.
• Produce small to large batch foods using classical and contemporary cooking, plating and garnishing techniques.
• Potentially oversee production staff and train/assign tasks.
• Attend shifts on time with regularity.
