Job summary

AdventHealth in Aurora, CO is seeking a dedicated hospital kitchen professional to prepare and cook meals for patients, café service, and catering events. You will develop menus, recipes, and production records with leadership to ensure dietary compliance and efficient operations.

The role requires 3+ years in hospital food service or healthcare cooking, strong communication, and basic computer skills. Day shifts, full-time, with competitive pay and benefits. CFSP preferred.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in hospital food service setting.
• 3+ years of previous healthcare or commercial cooking experience.
• Certified Foodservice Professional (CFSP) preferred

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook high-quality, visually appealing meals for patients, café service, and catering events.
• Create and update menus, recipes, and production records with leadership to support dietary compliance.
• Maintain clean and sanitary workspaces, equipment, and storage areas per HACCP guidelines.
• Oversee food production activities, ensuring proper portioning and batch cooking for patient and retail services.
• Coordinate daily operations with the FANS Coordinator and team to meet service expectations.

Job Description:

Prepare and cook high-quality, visually appealing meals for patients, café service, and catering events, following established recipes and production sheets. Create and update menus, recipes, and production records in collaboration with leadership to support dietary compliance and operational efficiency. Maintain clean and sanitary workspaces, equipment, and storage areas by following HACCP guidelines and recording temperatures accurately. Oversee food production activities, ensuring proper portioning, batch cooking, and adherence to culinary standards for both patient and retail services. Communicate effectively with the FANS Coordinator and team members to coordinate daily operations, resolve issues, and ensure service expectations are consistently met. Other duties as assigned.
