Job summary

Grainger in Louisville, KY is seeking a highly experienced Facilities Technician for Day and Night Shifts. The role focuses on maintenance of intricate conveyor systems and building controls, with hands-on troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical, and software components.

You will work on Siemens and Allen Bradley PLCs, electrical power distribution and CMMS-enabled maintenance tasks while adhering to safety standards and on-call rotation requirements.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of building and equipment maintenance with two years maintaining Dematic or similar conveyor systems.
• 2+ years of experience with AC drives (set-up, programming, faults)
• Familiarity with Microsoft and CMMS programs
• Experience with power distribution, power generation, control circuits, electrical test equipment, hand tools, power tools, calipers, and gauges
• Experience reading and interpreting Mechanical/Electrical/Plumbing (MEO) drawings and schematics
• Can frequently lift, push, and slide packages typically weighing 50-75lbs.
• Successful completion of Maintenance skill evaluation

Responsibilities

• Respond to system issues involving conveyors, PIE, sortation and controls (EMS, WCS, Sort Director, EWM, Hardware, and Software)
• Basic troubleshooting/diagnostic and repair of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic and control system components of the conveyor system and building components, including PLCs, DC drivers, AC invertors, linear motors, VFDs, encoders, scanners, power distribution, CMMS
