Job summary

Greif, Inc. is seeking an Electrical Maintenance/Mechanical Tech for 1st shift (Mon-Fri) to maintain and repair electrical and mechanical systems across our facilities in Kentucky.

The role requires hands-on experience with electrical schematics, PLCs, and power distribution equipment, plus strict adherence to LOTO and NEC standards. The position offers a comprehensive benefits package and a potential short-term incentive, with a pay range noted for qualified candidates.

Qualifications

• High school diploma and 2–4 years of maintenance experience.
• Ability to read wiring diagrams and work with AC/DC motors, VFDs, and high‑voltage circuits.
• Experience with PLC programming and instrumentation.

Responsibilities

• Performs scheduled preventive maintenance tasks to detect and prevent problems.
• Starts up and shuts down equipment per operation requirements and safety procedures.
• Inspects electrical machinery and equipment visually and tests functionality.
• Dismantles, inspects, and replaces defective electrical parts.
• Assembles, installs, and tests electrical fixtures, wiring, and panels.
• Maintains and troubleshoots industrial control systems and power distribution equipment.
• Performs PLC programming, troubleshooting, and documentation maintenance.
• Reads equipment manuals and schematics to perform maintenance.
