Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC is seeking a Senior Conversational AI Experience Designer in Seattle to shape Alexa+-driven conversations. You will set voice guidelines, author prompts, and define evaluation methods, collaborating with UX, data science, product, and engineering teams to deliver compelling customer experiences.

You will craft multi-turn dialogue architectures, ensure tone consistency, and lead design initiatives that improve customer interactions at scale.

Qualifications

• Must have a portfolio showcasing end-to-end conversation design work.
• Bachelor's degree or higher in CS, HCI, Design, statistics, psychology or related fields.
• 7+ years in voice/conversation design or related UX role.

Responsibilities

• Create world-class, user-centered conversation design definitions and specifications.
• Translate requirements into use cases and customer experience requirements.
• Design architecture and flow of conversation experiences, including multi-turn dialogues and error handling.
• Write prompts, persona definitions, and starter prompts to guide Alexa+ tone and responses.
• Develop diagrams, prototypes, and ready-to-implement design documentation.
• Create quality guidelines and evaluation rubrics; annotate dialog for model training.
• Collaborate with product, data science, and engineering to assess features.
• Present strategy and design work to UX/product leadership and partners.
• Work with design peers on frameworks, systems, and best practices.
• Demonstrate leadership to drive design processes across the organization.
• Identify and mitigate conversational risks and guide guardrail strategies.
