Job summary

Amazon is seeking an experienced conversation designer to shape voice, tone, and personality across our CS products. You will collaborate with UX and product teams to craft clear, customer-friendly conversational content and guidelines for web, app, and chat experiences.

The role emphasizes designing for AI/LLMs, conducting experiments, and driving data-informed improvements while partnering with researchers, engineers, and PMs to scale impact for Amazon customers.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of conversation design, content design, UX writing, or voice design experience.
• Online portfolio with end-to-end design work across desktop and mobile.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in English, Journalism, Marketing/Communications, HCI, or Design.
• Experience meeting customer and business requirements and leading reviews.
• Outstanding communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategy and execution for user-centered conversational CS products and chatbots.
• Lead the strategic vision for products that include generative AI/LLMs.
• Lead voice, tone, and messaging experiments to learn what works and share data-backed patterns.
• Make data-informed decisions based on user feedback, metrics, and usability findings.
• Plan, write, and publish self-service conversation and content design guidelines.
• Influence product strategy through collaboration with PMs, designers, engineers, and stakeholders.
