Job summary

Helion seeks a Senior Controls Technician to support reliability, uptime, and continuous improvement of manufacturing controls systems for high-voltage capacitor modules and reactor systems. This onsite role in Everett, WA reports to the Supervisor of Technical Maintenance, with potential multi-shift and 24/7 coverage as operations grow.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in industrial automation or production equipment.
• Strong hands-on troubleshooting with PLC/HMI systems.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and diagrams.
• Experience with robotics and SCADA platforms.
• Ability to work various shifts including overtime as operations demand.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, troubleshoot, and restore complex automated manufacturing equipment (PLC/HMI, sensors, drives, safety systems).
• Support uptime through rapid fault diagnosis of electrical, controls, and automation issues.
• Make minor PLC/HMI updates; coordinate larger changes through engineering change control.
• Assist with controls checkout, commissioning, validation, and handoff for new/modified equipment.
• Document faults, root causes, and corrective actions in CMMS and controls documentation.
• Identify recurring issues and propose practical improvements for production scale.
