Job summary

Carlisle Construction Materials is seeking a Sr. Controls Technician to support and optimize automated production equipment in a 24/7 manufacturing environment.

You will troubleshoot electrical and automation issues, maintain PLCs, HMIs, VFDs and sensors, and lead on-shift repairs to minimize downtime. The role demands strong mechanical/electrical aptitude, meticulous problem solving, and the flexibility to work rotating shifts and be on-call, with about 10% travel to other sites for training or

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; or technical school/industrial maintenance certs, or 3+ years in a controls environment.
• Experience with PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, sensors, and electrical control systems.
• Willingness to work rotating shifts and be on-call; travel ~10% for training/support at other sites.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and resolve automation and electrical control issues.
• Lead on-shift troubleshooting for complex electrical problems.
• Install, maintain, and repair PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, sensors, and related components.
• Provide on-shift training on control systems to maintenance and operations staff.
• Support LOTO program audits and training.
• Monitor downtime and drive root-cause analysis and fixes.
• Coordinate hardware upgrades and procurement for control systems.
• Maintain plant control systems for mixers, conveyors, compressors, pumps, etc.
