Job summary

Mitsubishi Power Americas, Inc. seeks an Engineer III, Controls Systems Service to provide technical service support for electronic control systems on gas turbines.

You will analyze operating issues, adjust control settings, implement logic changes, and modify hardware to improve operability and reliability. This role requires a BS/MS in engineering, six years of related experience, ability to read technical documents, create reports, and present to customers.

Qualifications

• MS or BS in Computer Science, Controls, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited college or university.
• A minimum of six (6) years of work experience, including logic programming and hardware configuration for digital control systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and write technical reports and correspondence.
• Ability to performCalculations, make judgments based on specifications, and present information to stakeholders.
• Advanced PC skills including MS Office; some overnight travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation of functional logic descriptions based on P&IDs and system docs to define control modification objectives.
• Prepare design documents such as logic drawings, specifications, procedures, checklists, and test plans.
• Demonstrate creativity to enhance customer satisfaction in delivery, quality, reliability, and cost.
• Provide diagnostic support through root cause analyses and recommend improvements to control system logic or hardware.
• Lead technical support for field personnel on Diasys UPV, Netmation, Ovation, and WDPF control systems.
• Communicate with engineers to obtain consensus on logic and hardware modifications.
• Support ISO 9001 audits and improve documentation and configuration control in Gas Turbine Service Engineering.
• Support industry meetings and conferences related to gas turbine control systems.
• Ensure products meet or exceed requirements; mentor less experienced engineers.
