Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a Senior Control Systems Engineer to lead global project control activities and harmonize control strategies for data center and large hybrid power projects. You will define architecture, requirements, and cross‑business collaboration with controls engineering and product management teams.

The role covers product lifecycle ownership, NPI leadership, and extensive testing/validation to ensure performance, reliability, and safety across islanded and grid-connected

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in controls, electrical engineering or a similar field from an accredited college or university.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in controls engineering roles in the power generation or electrification field, preferably in controls design and integration roles.
• At least 1 year of experience with controls NPI process.
• Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 20%.

Responsibilities

• Define control system architecture and functional requirements for data center & large hybrid power solutions, including islanded and grid-connected configurations.
• Ensure harmonization of control strategies across equipment-level, plant-level, and system-wide applications.
• Establish a structured framework for defining functional requirements, control philosophy, operability constraints, and protection strategies across cross-business controls development.
• Lead lifecycle activities for new control products from concept through deployment and validation.
• Coordinate systems simulation testing and validation to meet performance, reliability, and safety requirements.
