Job summary

GE Vernova seeks a Senior Project Engineer – Control Systems to lead engineering for retrofit control systems, coordinating with project managers and cross-functional teams. The role includes design, commissioning, and on-site implementation at domestic and international sites, with opportunities for growth within a global organization.

Responsibilities include overseeing project budgets, schedules, and customer specifications, mentoring engineers, and delivering high-quality control system

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience and knowledge in control systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering oversight & support for retrofit control systems partnering with project managers.
• Coordinate with project planner to review tasks, schedule, and risks.
• Consult on complex challenges with Technical Leader and Control Title Holder.
• Lead project team to achieve On-Time Delivery and FPY targets while ensuring design conformance.
• Own engineering hours budgets and milestone schedules for the project teams.
• Review contract docs and customer specs for technical impact.
• Mentor, direct, and lead team members on projects.
• Design systems interfacing with existing turbine control equipment and evaluate components.
• Support customer meetings, factory acceptance testing, installation and commissioning.
• Frequent interaction with customers and suppliers; up to 15% travel.
