Job summary

Argus is seeking an experienced Staff Controls & Integration Engineer II to join our team of innovators, delivering cutting-edge automation for critical fueling infrastructure.

You will lead projects across PLC, HMI, SCADA, and historians, collaborate with the Controls Integration Manager, develop specifications, and mentor junior engineers while ensuring safety, reliability, and compliance on client sites.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Electrical Engineering or equivalent required.
• 6+ years in controls, automation, or industrial integration.
• Proficiency in PLC programming with AB, Schneider/Modicon/M580.
• Experience with SCADA/HMI: Ignition, Wonderware, FactoryTalk View.
• Familiarity with Ethernet/IP, Modbus, OPC UA, MQTT.
• Knowledge of UL 508A, NFPA 79, ISO 13849, IEC 61131.
• Experience with DB2/SQL preferred.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead projects from concept to commissioning in automation platforms.
• Develop control system designs and specifications.
• Translate requirements into control configurations and PLC logic.
• Design network architectures and robust control strategies.
• Provide technical direction and mentorship to engineers.
• Coordinate with vendors for equipment and materials.
• Interface with clients and project managers for updates.
• Perform system programming, testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning.
• Deliver field service and respond to emergency calls.
• Review wiring diagrams, schematics, and P&IDs.
• Assist with electrical panel layout and compliance with codes.
