Job summary
Affiliated Engineers, Inc. is seeking an Instrumentation & Controls Engineer II for our Phoenix office. You will establish criteria for industrial systems, select controllers, and help lay out complex control environments to improve energy efficiency and process reliability.
You will program PLCs, develop HMI interfaces, and integrate with CAD/BIM tools. Travel to client sites for surveys and startup support is required.
Qualifications
- BSEE/ME/ChemE or equivalent experience.
- 2+ years of experience in Building, Process, and/or Industrial control design.
- Hands-on PLC programming and user interface development.
- Experience with industrial control networks and communication protocols.
- Ability to travel for client meetings, field surveys, limited commissioning and startup support.
Responsibilities
- Establish criteria for industrial systems, including codes applicability.
- Select controllers for various applications and set hazardous area boundaries.
- Develop system routing options; coordinate layout of industrial systems and equipment.
- Monitor, interpret, and test PLCs/DC controls.
- Travel for client meetings, field surveys, commissioning and startup support.
