Job summary

Anduril Industries is seeking a Controls Engineer to design, implement, and sustain controls systems on the manufacturing floor. You’ll contribute to architecture, PLC/HMI development, commissioning, and rate proofing, while maintaining OT/IT infrastructure and security practices.

You’ll build Ignition SCADA solutions, work with Allen-Bradley and Siemens PLCs, and collaborate with IT, Security, and Manufacturing teams to deliver reliable, secure production capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• 4+ years of controls and automation experience in production.
• Solid PLC programming skills on Allen‑Bradley and/or Siemens platforms.
• Ignition SCADA development experience with gateway modules.
• Working proficiency across OT stack: MQTT, OPC UA, TCP/IP.
• OT cybersecurity knowledge: air‑gapped networks and secure access.

Responsibilities

• Support controls systems lifecycle: architecture, PLC/HMI, commissioning, and sustainment.
• Deploy OT/IT server infra: Ignition gateways, historians, MQTT brokers, and jump hosts.
• Design and maintain production OT networking: MQTT, OPC UA, TCP/IP, VLANs.
• Build Ignition Perspective SCADA apps: views, tag architecture, alarms, historian config.
• Develop and debug PLC code on Allen‑Bradley and Siemens platforms.
• Apply OT security practices including segmentation and server hardening.
• Collaborate with IT, Security, FactoryOS, and Manufacturing Eng on initiatives.
• Configure and manage OT/IT cabling, switches, and backups.
• Assist with configuring Firewalls and AWS EC2 instances for production.
